Description
Gourds have long been cleaned out and used for bird houses and bird feeders. Their unique shapes offer protection and decoration. Some of them do not give you the opportunity to clean them out and prepare for the next guest. This specific design of bird house takes it’s shape from gourd, but in a reusable material and created specifically for Purple Martins and also designed to keep out the European Starlings. This is one that I’m going to keep an eye on and try to get some feedback!
The closure cap is a necessity for doing nest inspections. The two center line hole punches on the gourd recommends 5/8 inch distance from the porch to the bottom of the entrance hole
